hi Leo
as far as i know about this issue is that you need to be connected to the
same network if your desktop and xda is connected on the same wireless
linksys WRT54GC then it is possible, first make sure that the remote desktop
ports are enabled on the linksys cause it has a builtin firewall mechanism
that blocks the ports by default result no remote desktop. if you cannot
find out the remote desktop ports which are in the range of 5500 something
like that i dont remember very well though a simple way is to get it
disabled so your xda will be able to locate the remote service on the
desktop computer/laptop.
about the compatibility issue i am not very sure i have not tested it on my
WM5 yet. hope this helps a little and you get more closer to find a solution
for it :)
kind regards,
